Today is the day that many seniors waiting for…
Graduation Ceremony , i.e. the Commencement
and i was waiting for it too. Planning to buy things to convey my congratulation to them was done perfectly fine except the HANAMUKE :mrgreen:Â our sai rahad [academic family- where seniors count their juniors, sophomores, and freshmen as being their bros/sister, uncle/aunt, grandma/grandpa bla bla bla] have two seniors graduating this year and i spent whole afternoon of the last tuesday with my juniors on picking up the suitable gifts for them. *sniff- buying stuffs even makes me poorer*
yesterday i asked my aunt to do me a favour to buy a bouquet, i.e. hanamuke, with me. we wandered around and finally order a bouquet of yellow Chrysanthemum and red Carnation -_-” the petals of the Chrysanthemum was nearly fully blossom but well i had no other choices D: it was 9pm and we still wandered around without anything in our stomaches +0+ sorry my aunt to torture you. Sorry my P’ Rahad for the badly-smell Chrysanthemum -/\- [though the bouquet is very beautiful with the black academic dress!]
note that my dad open the air conditioner for the whole night to keep the bouquet - IN THE ROOM DOWNSTAIR WHERE NO ONE SLEEP THERE - looks good TwT i love you dad >_< [well, my room has only electric fans... and windows everywhere HAHA]
this morning i woke up VERY early [around 5.15 but got out of bed nearly 5.45 ^ ^;;] you know my house is wayyyyyyyy too far from the university, where the ceremony held. so i had to get up that early and got into my dad’s car to rush to the university because the graduates had to gather in the hall before nine, sharply. the traffic jammed more than usual because tomorrow will be the Chinese Ghost Festival day and thus Chinese people go out to buy materials at down town, near our university -..- though my hero, i.e. my dad, manage to get there by 7.30 woohoo
took some photos with graduates and gave hanamuke to my P’ Rahad then busy with my junior who would arrived with the gifts but he was very very very late until almost 9am. got everyone in the academic family signed on the cards and left the card with the guy who came late [he will give the card to the graduates in the afternoon after they finish the ceremony] and i came to have my brunch, fish stake with white sauce >_< yummy
some shots with friends before getting my brunch
the commencement in Thailand, where the monarchy system is strong, have to have something with the monarch for sure. the king was the one who handed the degree papers for the graduates to present his ‘congratulation’ but later on when he gets older and have to take care of his health he send his offsprings to do the task. and thus the one who do the task today is the prince not the king. he came around 11.30. i knew because i was on the bus and the route to go back home have to pass his palace. it is a norm for police to stop every car on the street when the monarch wants to go on the street and my bus stopped almost in front of his palace thus i saw troops of red Mercedez Benz driving out of his palace around that time. the graduates is prohibited to carry mobile phone or anything and cannot go to restroom too. in my opinion, to stay in the main hall for many hours is a test about tolerance in getting that thin paper and going out to work.
more or less the graduates were very happy this morning. and i am sincerely wishing them the best onwards. Congratulations <3
i’m off to listen to hanamuke & graduation. though i like graduation more than hanamuke, i want to listen to hanamuke first somehow …
